Hi everyone,
I am enjoying the “girl dinner” memes.
I did a really heartfelt interview with Erin Andrews this week where she talked about her surrogacy journey. Check it out!
This week on the internet…
Emily Kirkpatrick (check her out
) wrote a great piece for us on Glamour this week about how milk is now a hot girl among the Gen Z influencer set.“The pro-milk agenda made its first foray into Gen Z influencer territory in 2019, when Dairy Management Inc. began working with YouTube Goliath MrBeast to promote the National Dairy Checkoff’s #UndeniablyDairy campaign. The following year, the creator—whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson—participated in a virtual dairy farm tour that he shared with millions of his subscribers, followed by a sponsored video on National Farmers Day in which he spouts pro-milk facts as he challenges a group of gamers to compete in a special dairy-farm-themed level of Minecraft for a chance to win a cash prize.
The YouTube star also recently visited a dairy farm in his home state of North Carolina, sharing highlights from the visit in a since deleted TikTok. Dairy Management Inc. president and CEO Barb O’Brien explained its choice in influencers to DairyHeard.com, saying, ‘Gen Z looks for authenticity, humor, and voices they can relate to, and we know MrBeast will be effective in portraying how dairy remains a health and wellness solution and is produced in a way that is environmentally friendly.’”

Sarah Brady, Jonah Hill, and Instagram
Undoubtedly the biggest story online this week is Sarah Brady sharing texts on Instagram from her ex-boyfriend, Jonah Hill. I think the discussions online this is sparking between women has been fascinating, as have been all the thoughtful op-eds. I enjoyed this one from Vogue writer Raven Smith.
“We’re still stuck in a cycle of near-constant sexualization of women’s bodies, whether at home or at work or on the beach or in an office or walking downtown, minding her own damn business. I was hoping we’d come further than nasty, put some clothes on, but we still seem to be monitoring women and their choices and clothes. I know I’m stating the bleeding obvious here, but it’s a woman’s prerogative to look and act how she fucking pleases—within and without a romantic union.
Finally, there’s been some debate on whether Brady should have released the private messages in the first place. Was it justice that motivated her, or was it vengeance? Some echelons are asking if coercive men should be as entitled to privacy as the rest of us. On that I will say only this: Toxic, coercive, manipulative misogyny won’t dry up if we keep it behind closed doors. We have to out it to stamp it out. Thinking of Hill as the bad guy misses the point because the entire system needs our scrutiny. We have to keep shedding light on these men—there’s nowhere to hide in the spotlight.”
