I def have been inundated with vanity planet for years from Aussie wellness influencers. I actually bought one of their face scrubbers and never use it lol.
Okay it's not so much "weird" per say, but in looking back at my history I literally purchased every cleaning item recommended by Go Clean Co (I blame being pregnant during a pandemic and "nesting" of it all). Joke's on me, I did that laundry stripping thing once the week before I gave birth and haven't touched the ingredients since (my son is now a year and a half).
My dumbest purchase maybe ever, was paying an extra $1000 for an Hermes Apple Watch 🤣 and the ONLY perk is an Hermes watch face 🤣🤣🤣 I just had to have that orange box! Soooo stupid. I haven’t told anyone
Okay I'm going to need several pages lol. My Amazon list is waayyyy to dang long. It's so easy to just LTK from an influencer and hit buy, plus some I missed returned windows and am stuck with it, can we say nooooo. Items still in the package: steam cleaner, another toothbrush ( you know the fancy ones), clothing and oh yeah several Vanity Planet that I actually use. Kerrently is like the one of only a few that will actually use it over and over before sharing and promoting. Last don't get me started on Magic Spoon (too dang expensive for cereal). Like I said I could write a novel on what not to buy...;-(
I HAD to have roller skates last winter. I found some pink ones that light up. I’ve used them, maybe, 3 times. And sooooooo many crafting supplies. So many.
I bought one of those LED face masks and still haven’t unboxed it. I am not sure if I trust it very much, total waste of money! I’ve bought a LOT of weird stuff during the pandemic.
The Vanity Planet story reminded me of Athletic Greens and the bottomless influencer paid ads they've been berating us with since January. On the surface it looks like a solid strategy and execution but it would be cool to hear your POV on that!
Lol so many..my most recent is probably the weirdest and im not sure what came over me - a boob pillow you strap in between your boobs while you sleep that supposedly prevents wrinkles/sagging etc. (side note: I'm a small B 😅). I'd never heard of it before and it looked so weird.. kind of like a pillow-y thong, so I swiped up out of curiosity. But after reading a bunch of 5 star amazon reviews (and a couple glasses of wine) I bought it. Never been used lol

I also got fake nose rings during the pandemic.
pandemic purchases were abundant here! a purple wig & usb disco light were my early buys for making zooms more fun.
